Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29/03/71) is a South African television, radio and war reporter. She worked as a CBS News journalist from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive Producer Jeff Fager called her factually wrong and politcally biased story about the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack "the most erroneous mistake I made in my 10-year-old's watch." She joined Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media group) in the year 2019. [4] In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service owned by Fox News). She stated that she was "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989) and then the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992, she became a senior producer for Reuters Television Africa. After four years, she ventured out into freelance journalism and landed assignments as a reporter, editor/producer at ITN as well as Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. Reporting on major events, such as the bombings that took place in 1998 at the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania and the ongoing conflicts within Northern Ireland and the Kosovo conflict, she worked for CNN.
